I only have it’s little toddler brother, the 500 EXC-F, and it’s been an absolute blast so far! The Super Adventure is next for me.

Seattle I've been thinking about buying a used 1190 but have been a bit hesitant for a couple of reasons. Am I getting the wrong impression looking at all of the issues in the forums online? I have read about the air filter issues and resulting engines that needed a rebuild in the early model years.

Tough to beat the OEM Yuasa for reliability. The 1190 has a parasitic draw which tends to shorten the life of batteries if you don't keep them on a tender when storing them. #3. SURFINASPHALT and windblown101 like this.
2020 790 adventure R reliability. ASKKTM. The 790 Adventure R is absolutely perfect for me, but the only thing holding me back from buying it over a Tenere 700 is reliability. It seems like tons of people claim that little things are always going wrong with the 2020 790 range - nothing too bad but enough that it’ll ruin a good day of riding.
