iPhone battery health dropping issue I have an iPhone 12 64GB I’ve bought it on march after using 4 months from today’s date 7th Aug 2021 of lightly using, my battery health dropped to 95% I’m so worried about this and i want to make sure is this normal or what Also i do follow some battery safety tips like removing back case while charging and I don’t play games too.
On your iPhone, various apps run simultaneously in the background. Normally, these apps should use a portion of your CPU while running. Unfortunately, there are times when your CPU gets used up to about 100%. When this happens, your iPhone gets hot and drains the battery fast. Your apps can overload your iPhone’s CPU.

But batteries are consumables so as you use them their ability to take and hold charges, i.e. the health, decreases. Having a battery health of 97% after 7 months is very good. When it hits 80% replace it. There’s something super wonky going on with my battery health. I’ve had my phone for 3 years. During the first 1.5 years the battery health declined steadily. For the last year 1.5 years the battery health has been at 82%. I took the phone to Apple and they said the battery health was correct. But I don’t see how that can remotely be true. Using the battery below 20% is not great for the battery. Your screenshot shows you are at 15%. If this happens regularly, that is putting more strain on the battery. Edit: Also, life is a bit too short to spend so much time worrying about your maximum battery capacity/battery health. Use your phone how you want. 2. New Algorithm for Battery Health Measurement. Another plausible reason is that Apple may have changed how they measure iPhones’ battery health. One of the recent updates could have put this new algorithm into effect. 3. New Features of iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max.
Even rechargeable batteries get worn down and 1-2% health loss per month is perfectly normal. According to iPhone Battery and Performance - Apple Support , Apple apparently only considers it unusual (and covered by warranty) if a battery drops below 80% maximum capacity in less than a year after you receive it.
Max charging to 80% is ideal. iOS 13 has a feature when it will keep the battery at 80% until the phone determines, based on your charging pattern, to charge to 100% just prior to you being active on the phone. If you keep battery between 40-80%, you will extend life significantly, some go for the 30% to 90% mark. oYFB2xD.
